Arborist Skill Taxonomy
The profiling and assessment engine in Oberon is built on a database of skills with maps of demonstrated competencies for each skill by level to drive our assessment and allocation logic.

Each skill is derived from a process that looks at the skills in context of existing job listings through an AI engine to place it in a taxonomy that relates the skill to other skills

Competency Maps
The Arborist uses the taxonomy and a set of context lenses to generate a large list of competency statements that are expressions of engineering or solution expertise, not product feature knowledge

Refinement for Assessment
The source competency lists can have 100-200 items on it, so for assessments we take a 4th pass through the data to reduce it to the 30-50 most critical competencies that would help us appropriate assess levels in the interview process.
